The seven-time world champion announced his Maranello arrival even before the start of the 2024 season. Now, Ferrari star Charles Leclerc has expressed his excitement to go up against Hamilton as teammates next season.

Lewis Hamilton happy after Friday outing at Emilia Romagna GP

Mercedes has struggled at the start of the 2024 season. Lewis Hamilton even claimed this to be the worst-ever start in his career. However, it seems that the Silver Arrows could be in a better position this weekend at the Emilia Romagna GP.

Lewis Hamilton claimed that the team had a productive Friday at Imola with running on all three slick compounds. Moreover, the 39-year-old highlighted the good balance of the car. The seven-time world champion mentioned that Ferrari and McLaren were quick this weekend. However, the British driver claimed that Mercedes was much closer at Imola compared to the rest of the season so far.

We had a productive day and were able to run all three compounds. The balance of the car felt good, and I had a positive feeling out there. Several other teams look quick, in particular McLaren and Ferrari, but we're a lot closer than we have been so far this season. Lewis Hamilton stated

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton and the Silver Arrows seem to have promising pace at the Emilia Romagna GP. The seven-time world champion would aim to try and battle at the front of the grid. However, it remains to be seen if Hamilton can carry this momentum in Qualifying and potentially qualify on the first or second row for the race.
